I’m not sure how often I’ll post on this blog, but for now I’m at least getting a little something out here to have on the page. I’ll share status updates, thoughts, ideas and as for interaction and help as I continue to write and create more. I also enjoy video and sound editing, I do a little YouTube channel on the side with my son, its called TurboXLand. I’m always looking to try new things and go new places, if I go somewhere I’ll be sure to post about it too. So keep an eye out and see what I post, it could be anything!
My first serious attempt at starting a business was The Mighty Flamingo Shop. I was out on a sunrise walk with my son and after staring at the sun for a while we returned home. We started playing a card game on the floor and that’s when I said, to him, “I really wish we had a mat to sit on.”My son immediately returned with a yoga mat and said to me, “You could make mats to sit on dad, for playing card games.”
Thats when the Mighty Flamingo Shop began and my journey towards writing the book Dancing In The Dark really started to take off. After starting the business, getting everything certified and registered, I started making these yoga mats. I didn’t sell much, but I learned a lot. Somewhere in the process I started to think about my book, I’m really thankful we took a walk that morning and gave thanks for a beautiful day. Now, after many other wonderful mornings, I’m thankful to have accomplished everything I have.
